Grandma's macaroni casserole

Ingredients (serves 4)

    300 g macaroni, cooked just under al dente
    150 g bacon bits
    3 eggs
    2,5 dl whole milk
    2,5 dl cream
    30 g Sbrinz, grated
    5 g salt
    a little pepper
    50 g cheese cubes (Emmentaler)

    Preparing Grandma's macaroni casserole

    After cooking, quickly cool off the macaroni with cold water and drain well. Briefly cook the bacon in a frying pan. In a large bowl, mix eggs, milk, cream and the grated cheese, season with salt and pepper. Add the macaroni, bacon and cheese cubes, mix well and fill everything into a suitable casserole. Bake in the oven at 220 °C for 30 minutes until golden brown. Serve with compote or applesauce.

    Tip: simple and quick and everyone loves it.
